A Bookkeeping Foundation

I offer daily, weekly, and monthly services for A/R, A/P, G/L, Reconciliation, period end adj, inventory & items/services management, reporting, and the many workflow tools built into QB Online.

Forecast Your Budget

Budgets can help you with forecasting, measuring your performance, and limiting allowances for departments to spend. Incorporate them into your workflow and get valuable feedback with budget reports.

User Roles & Security

One employee doing all the bookkeeping can be a risk. Instead, your employees continue to perform sales & purchasing, I capture it into the accounting system and review it with you using reports, budgets, and estimates.

Best of all, with Quickbooks Online's detailed user role features, in-house employees can still input data and provide customer service with account info, but never see the financials.

Coming Aboard with Onboarding

Quickbooks has built-in tools (and a few accountant only tools) that make it possible to convert QB Desktop files to QB Online. Intuit is placing a lot of focus on this new version of Quickbooks, and so are many 3rd party vendors and platforms. If you're ready to convert, I can provide file conversion and training to get you up-to-speed.

Initial Assessment

What is the state of your books? I can take our plans and goals from our consultation and make an assessment of how to get you there. By examining your QB Online account I can find ways to reclassify transactions, merge or inactivate accounts, customers, vendors, and items, reconcile, and make summary and adjusting entries, including using special accountant only tools provided within QB Online.

Free Consultation

I offer a free consultation over the phone to both review your business needs and discuss the issues challenging you, as well as your business goals and opportunities. This breaks down into two items: The initial cleanup/conversion/review, and the monthly/ongoing work needed. Communication is also available on Skype, Teams, or Google Meet/Chat.

Free Initial Assessment

I also offer a free assessment, taking the goals and issues discussed in the consultation and seeing how they can practically apply to the current state of your business. This often involves connecting to your QB Online (if you already have one) and reviewing the state of your books.

Engagement Contract

This contract will outline the scope of work and duties to be done, and will include a price for the work.

The first section will be for the initial project of performing clean-up work, conversions, or establishing a new QB company file, as well as initial data entry and reconciliations/matching. This will also involve onboarding tasks such as linking bank accounts, credit cards, 3rd party services, and other tasks for the onboarding process.

The second section will outline the ongoing duties, weekly, monthly, and quarterly, as well as the scope of work, including information employees and owners need to provide for bookkeeping purposes.

Ongoing Activities

Working with a bookkeeper involves sending/emailing statements, vendor bills, shipping/receiving slips, and having documentation for when a job is complete or delivered. Often a document scanner is used, but phone apps exist as well. This is how I receive info to update the accounting system. Of course, every business is different, so this will be tailored to your needs.

If your business has online accounts for merchant processing, banking, inventory, etc... You will need to create a sub-account or employee account to grant me access so that I can pull that info into the accounting system.
